oh lol.
Reminds of glasto last year
How secure & comfortable...
Good luck!
sounds like a laugh tbh. I like bbq, beers and wow altho im a little worried about the "outside" + PC element to it ;)
Hi all,
Yeah its in a sturdy marquee so not totally outside. We are also checking people entering and leaving for tickets and have other security measures in place.
Apart from that its outdoor camping and BBQ fun!
tbh as long as the weather is good, it'd be a right laugh. if its not then :\
Yeah security is a genuine issue, also the heat may be a real problem, I series lans get v warm and they are in a fucking huge airconditioned hanger
That's kind of what I meant.
As much as it'd be a really cool event to go to (BBQ and beers with mates is always good) - the LAN aspect of the event is far too dependant on the great British weather being mild. Any rain or hot weather could ruin things.
It's quite a risk trying to put on an event like this, and respect to you for going for it, I hope it all works out okay and turns out to be the great event that it has the potential to be.

There seems to be some sort of mistake. I've read through this list multip[le times, and I still can't see Halo PC on it :/
that's because it's shit...... apart from one map.
WTF MARKO? It's the best game ever :/
i think its quite cool. but then im biased being a CPL pro and everything (EY CLEGGO HUH!)
didn't exactly win any prizes though did you?
I believe you got *RIGHT ROYALLY FUCKED* in the 2nd round? :p
hey, that 2nd round was the final mate. i came joint 3rd in ThE CpL PrO WiNnErS PRo HaLO PC TouRNAmeNT!!!!11
haha that sounds a bit like my claim to e-fame:
I MADE IT TO THE LAST 8 OF THE UT2004 WORLD CYBER GAMES QUALIFIERS, out of 32 entrantrs.
Lets ignore the fact i managed to squeeze thru playing only the crap ppl who entered for a laugh, before getting put out 31-0 (yes thats right, i got wicked sicked) by the eventual winner.
lol coopsy plays halo?
My already high opinion of you just got higher <3
he stole my copy I bought and played it for about a day.
indeed. altho quite enjoyed it tbh... was a Intel run Halo PC tournament on a load of Centrino laptops at CPL Dallas one year that we went, anyone and everyone could enter. was like 10man FFA first round and then the top 2 went through to a final or something. Winner of the final got the laptop, 2nd place got halo. joint third (=me) got a clap.
note: not THE clap, just a round of applause with less enthusiasm. :D
you WILL get the clap if you dont use condoms daniel...
when you say it was a round of applause but with less enthusiasm, do you mean it was kind of a slow clap, kind of like /golfclap ?

Projector Games (http://www.projectorgames.co.uk) will be making an appearance at the LAN. If you havenââ,¬â,,¢t heard of them, they have a unique set of specially written games for a projector. This means that you can all play on the same screen at the same time. Itââ,¬â,,¢s crazy stuff. One game we are definitely playing is Bomberman. These guys hold the record for the biggest game, 35+ people in one game at the same time! We will be looking to beat that. They also have a load of other great games too. Check them and their site out.
If you have any more suggestions please let us know
