As many of you know, Elitist Jerks has a really strong community attached to their website in guise of forums. Pretty much everything and anything is discussed that has a slight familiarity with World of Warcraft. Every class is deconstructed by the numerous players eager to talk about the game they’ve (we’ve) been playing for so long.
I’m not sure if this is new or I’m just slow at seeing this, but they’ve introduced a new Blog section which enables anyone with an account on their forums to create a blog on their website. Here are some really cool ones that look interesting.
That wasn’t bad luck, you stood in the fire you moron
Aptly named blog deconstructing the game via combat log and parsing the results into unique data stats.
I’m interested in examining sloth like behaviour in getting out of AOE, as well as looking at consumable use (potions, bandages) and finally a more detailed look at combat such as misses, dodges, parries by both the NPCs and players.
We in Infamous use WWS parses religiously so it would be interesting to see what kind of tools are released for data mining the combat logs.
Blogenstein – On the Elemental Shaman
Hitomi should have made this first if you’re into that sort of thing. Elemental shamans are screwed for life you theory-crafting sadists.
Surprisingly enough, the “best in slot” Sunwell gear for both is the same. The only differences are gemming and rings/trinkets. LB/CL uses Sextant, the crafted SW trash ring, and the BT trash ring, with a combination of potent pyrestones, glowing shadow amythest, and runed crimson rubies. LB spam on the other hand, has a Skull of Gul’dam instead of Sextant, two of the BT trash rings, and Quick Lionseyes, Forceful Seaspray Emeralds. Runed CS’s remain the same.
You were warned.
Guild/Raid Leader tells all kind of blog. Most of it is the truth and should be kept on as a bible for any future guild or raid leaders.
Look, I’m the Group Nazi for my guild. I was the Gem Nazi, and as a result we have 20+ surplus of EVERY gem. Rather than thanks I get bitched at by mages by making them take [Pyrestone] instead of [Crimson Spinel], but you know, I can deal with that.
And there’s plenty more where that came from. I know most of us are bored to death while in work sometimes so hopefully this will help you get through the day
